We are on a mission to create the worlds first and truly largest decentralized banking system through our mobile app. Over 1.5 billion people in the world are either underbanked or lack access to basic banking. Our mission is to help tackle this wide-scale issue through decentralized finance. We are looking for a skilled and experienced backend engineer to help us scale to 1 billion users! This position is based in our New York City office and will be hybrid (a few days per week in office and couple days remote).

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop and maintain the backend of our application
• Design highly scalable, testable code
• Discover and fix programming bugs
• Write server scripts and API's
• Enable our culture and mission of creating a decentralized future
• Evaluate and enhance the application's security if possible

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Extensive experience with one or more general purpose programming languages such as: Typescript, Python, Go, Java, C++, or Rust
• Have deployed a smart contract to a testnet or mainnet chain
• Experience with node.js is helpful but not required
• Demonstrated interest and experience (personal or professional) in the blockchain space
• Foundational understanding of cybersecurity is preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
